Our Team

Terrie Valentine, MAE, LMHC, EAGALA, TF-CBT Advanced Certification

When Terrie was young and she needed a friend, or to chill, she would go to the barn and spend time with her horse Charlie.   She told Charlie everything.

In high school, she knew she wanted to be someone who kids wanted to talk to, just like she talked to Charlie.

Terrie became a Middle School Counselor and later joined forces with Annette to begin Reins and Rainbows.

“Horses challenge me to be honest about how I feel and challenge me to be all the things I want for my clients”  Terrie

Annette Dubois, MAE, LMHC, EAGALA, TF-CBT Advanced Certification

Annette studied Elementary Education and Counseling.  She worked for many years in the local school system as an Elementary School Counselor.

Annette had no horse background when she started working with Equine Assisted Programs.  She learned horsemanship on-the-job.

Annette finds so much pride and contentment in her work and knowing she is making a difference for elementary aged children.

Emily Gohring, Equine Support Specialist

Emily started riding horses at 5 years old.  She began working at Reins in 2023.

During a therapy session, Emily works with young or complicated horses, while the therapist focuses on the child.

Emily also teaches private riding lessons at the Reins and Rainbows facility.

Stacee St Clair, LMHC

Stacee has a background in education, and worked as a teacher for a long time.  Stacee joined Reins for an internship, and then never left.
